Assignment 2 : SPATIUM
(GROUP)
In this task, students will delve into the interpretation of three-dimensional spaces and translate them into two-dimensional orthographic drawings using specific tools and techniques. They will focus on precise detailing and graphical methods to accurately represent the information gathered. Effective visual communication is a key aspect, enabling students to record, organize, and describe a variety of issues through their drawings.
To successfully complete this project, students will be required to translate their findings and related information into well-executed drawings. The use of appropriate scales, basic principles, conventions, and techniques is essential to express dimensional spaces and objects effectively.

Throughout the assignment, students will gain exposure to drawing conventions, symbols, projection lines, and measurement exercises commonly employed in the construction field. This exploration will deepen their understanding of the practical applications and complexities of drawing conventions, honing their skills in visual communication as an indispensable tool in the industry.

The exercises that was provided for this assignment by Mr Akmal was exercise on line weights and scale. Mastering line weights enhances the clarity and visual impact of their designs, while understanding scale ensures accurate representation of proportions and dimensions. These skills lay the foundation for effective architectural communication and precision in their future projects.

PROCESS (WHAT I'VE DONE)
Interpretation of Three-Dimensional Spaces:
-
Understanding and interpreting three-dimensional spaces by buildings a play area, using architectural knowledge and observation skills alongside group members.
Translation into Two-Dimensional Orthographic Drawings:
-
Using specific tools and techniques to translate the interpreted spaces into two-dimensional orthographic drawings. This step involves converting the three-dimensional aspects into a clear and accurate representation on paper.
Focus on Precise Detailing:
-
Paid close attention to precise detailing, ensuring that every element is accurately represented in their two-dimensional orthographic drawings.
Translation of Findings into Well-Executed Drawings:
-
Use the of appropriate scales, basic principles, and techniques to express dimensional spaces and objects effectively.
Mastery of Line Weights and Scale:
-
As part of the exercises provided by Mr. Akmal, I focus on mastering line weights and scale. This enhances the clarity and visual impact of their designs, ensuring accurate representation of proportions and dimensions.

REFLECTION
Transferring a 3D model into a 2D scale drawing has been a transformative experience. It taught me the power of visual communication and precision in conveying complex designs. Each line became a means of storytelling, enabling me to bring architectural visions to life. This invaluable skill has given me confidence as a student, and I look forward to applying it in future projects to create impactful designs that resonate with others.
TGC'S ACQUIRED
TGC 2.3 : It has been an enriching journey, refining my ability to analyze and synthesize data in architectural drawings. Transferring 3D models into 2D scale drawings taught me the importance of attention to detail and precision. Through this process, I enhance my skills in visual communication, enabling me to convey design intent with clarity and coherence. I am now equipped to create impactful architectural visions that effectively communicate complex ideas in a simplified form. TGC 2.3 has instilled in me a sense of confidence and purpose, and I am excited to continue evolving as a skilled architect, one drawing at a time.
