Final Assignment : DOMUM (INDIVIDUAL)
This assignment introduces students to drawing conventions, technical elements, and specifications commonly used in the construction industry. Through this project, students will explore and grasp the application and intricacies of drawing conventions, which serve as a means of effective communication within specified requirements.

The objective is to comprehend site conditions, layouts, furniture arrangements, and materials relevant to the context or location and translate these findings into a visual presentation. Using proper scale, basic principles, drawing conventions, and symbols, students will express 3-dimensional spaces or objects. The emphasis lies on mastering drawing conventions and meeting technical requirements.

Each student will select a site and layout from provided options, gaining essential knowledge to support the completion of the final drawing. This project encourages students to independently explore drawing conventions, technical elements, and requirements, considering the unique context and programmatic needs of the Micro House Project

For this assignment, Mr Akmal had provided orthographic drawing exercises to enhance student's visual communication, precision, spatial visualization, problem-solving abilities, and technical proficiency of beginner architecture students.
process (WHAT I'VE DONE)
Site Selection and Analysis:
Choose a suitable location for micro house. Consider factors like orientation, sunlight exposure, local regulations, and utilities. Conduct a site analysis to understand the surroundings, topography, and climate, as these factors will influence your design decisions.
Space Planning and Layout:
Develop a detailed space plan for micro house, considering the essential rooms and functional areas required for comfortable living. Optimize the layout to make the most of the available space while ensuring a smooth flow between different spaces.
Sketching and Conceptual Drawings:
Begin sketching ideas on paper to visualize the layout and design elements. Create conceptual drawings to explore different design options and configurations. These initial sketches will serve as the basis for orthographic drawings.
Orthographic Drawing Creation:
Start by creating orthographic drawings for the floor plan, elevations, and sections of micro house. Use proper line weights to differentiate between different elements, such as walls, doors, windows, and furniture. Pay close attention to accuracy and proportions to ensure correct dimensions in your drawings.
Line Weight and Hatching:
Use thicker lines for prominent features like walls and structural elements, and lighter lines for finer details like furniture and fixtures. Consider adding hatching to drawing to show materials.
Annotation and Dimensioning:
Include precise dimensions for all elements in orthographic drawings. Use appropriate dimensioning techniques to clearly convey the size of each room, doorway, window, and other architectural features.
Review and Refinement:
Carefully review orthographic drawings to check for any errors or inconsistencies. Make necessary refinements to ensure the accuracy and clarity of your drawings.

1.1 Identify and integrate diverse knowledge, observation, and findings:
During the preparation stages of designing the micro house, I focus on in-depth observations and extensive research. By integrating diverse knowledge, such as sustainable design principles and innovative space-saving solutions, I ensure that my design proposal is well-informed and thoughtful. Observing the site conditions and contextual factors allows me to translate this information into my drawings, ensuring that the final design resonates with its surroundings.
1.2 Comprehensive interpretation of drawing conventions and technical requirements:
To create precise orthographic drawings, I ensure a comprehensive understanding of drawing conventions, principles, and technical requirements. I pay attention to details such as line weights, dimensions, annotations, and drawing symbols. This understanding is critical in completing all drawings with correct, precise, and clear information, facilitating effective communication of the micro house design.
1.3 Application of technical knowledge and skills with good workmanship and clarity:
Applying my technical knowledge and skills, I focus on producing a standard quality of work in my drawings. I meticulously apply appropriate line weights, dimensions, and annotations to create a well-crafted presentation of the micro house design.Throughout the process, I pay attention to the appropriateness of the content, ensuring that my drawings accurately represent the functional and aesthetic aspects of the micro house. By emphasizing workmanship and clarity, I aim to communicate my design intent effectively to stakeholders and potential viewers
