Engaging in the Design Communication course has been a transformative journey that encompasses various facets of communication, design thinking, and practical application. Throughout this course, the exploration of Tertiary Graduate Capabilities (TGCs) has been integral, reflecting a comprehensive development in both discipline-specific knowledge and broader skills essential in the field of design communication.

1. Discipline Specific Knowledge: The course effectively bridged theoretical understanding with practical application, exemplifying the ability to put design theories into practice (1.1). The emphasis on visual and verbal communication in design thinking showcased an acute awareness of ethical issues within the field of study (1.2). Understanding professional practice (1.3) was ingrained in the assignments, mimicking real-world design scenarios that demanded strategic thinking and effective communication.

2. Lifelong Learning: The course actively encouraged lifelong learning by fostering the capacity to learn independently (2.1). Assignments required self-driven exploration of design principles, enabling the development of an intrinsic curiosity for continual growth. The skill of locating, extracting, synthesizing, and utilizing information effectively (2.2) became evident in the diverse research and application tasks undertaken. Being intellectually engaged (2.3) was a natural outcome of the course, which prompted critical thinking and continuous reflection on design choices and principles.
