Assignment 2 : Passive Green Building Strategies Report

In this assignment, we were tasked with developing passive and active green building strategies alongside our final architectural design project. The focus was to apply lessons learned from Assignment 1 and a green building visit, incorporating strategies such as site planning, daylighting, façade design, natural ventilation, strategic landscaping, and renewable energy into our proposals.

The process required analysing site context, establishing green design objectives, and translating these into clear, well-documented strategies. Preparing the reflective write-up and A3 design report challenged me to connect theory with practice, ensuring that each design decision responded to climate, culture, spatial quality, and user experience. This assignment not only strengthened my technical understanding of passive design but also improved my ability to communicate ideas effectively through both text and visuals.
